The new skin maker is all about creating and sharing endless skins with the world. We had a chance to go hands-on with it this week, and you'll see it in action as soon as Monday of next week. You'll need flash to run it, but housed on that site is an all-new community-based skin system, complete with an in-browser editor, a huge pile of stock logos and backgrounds to get you started with, and of course the ability to not only save the skin into a gallery and vote/share them with friends in the community, but also save it down for printing on your computer. Launching very soon (we're expecting Monday), and announced exclusively here on IGN, is the all-new Guitar Hero On Tour DS Skins Creator.

Vicarious promised us that there's be an easy-to-use grip-maker on the way for On Tour - Decades, and while the main site had a really basic template for users to download and work off of (even then we got some creepy clones floating around the net), it isn't until now that there's a true solution to the "make your own skins" idea. Remember the GBA Micro faceplate packs? What was it… $10 for three chunks of plastic? Who needs that? We're way more excited at the prospect of going online, finding a bunch of awesome grip art that the community has made, and using that to trick out our grip. One of the best features the DS grip has though - at least its our personal favorite - is the fact that faceplates are old news now, instead replaced by in-grip skins that can be customized and inserted by the Guitar Hero fan community.
